A Star-Studded Night at The Monastery Manchester

Sometimes we get invited to photograph events so good, we have to pinch ourselves. This was one of those nights.

Recently, ER Photography had the pleasure of photographing a dazzling, high-energy awards ceremony held at The Monastery Manchester, and while we can’t name the client (top secret vibes), we can tell you it was a night to remember.

This wasn’t just any awards night. We’re talking celebrities, glittering gowns, sharp tuxedos, and a venue that honestly looked like something straight out of a movie. The Monastery, already a stunning backdrop on a regular Tuesday, was totally transformed by some seriously dramatic lighting that made the whole place feel electric. The arches, the uplighting, the way it all bounced off the stone—it was like photographing a cathedral rave, in the best way.

Event photographer Manchester is a title we wear proudly, and it’s events like these that remind us just how fun this job can be. From candid crowd moments to winners celebrating with their trophies, we caught all the glitz, all the glam, and plenty of dancefloor chaos.

Speaking of the dancefloor, the real showstopper? Marvin Humes closed the night with a DJ set that brought serious energy. Let’s just say, no one was sitting down once he hit the decks.
