Photographing Aire Logic’s Wild Team Day Out at Centre Parcs

Mad Hats, Quad Bikes & Arrows Flying: Photographing Aire Logic’s Wild Team Day Out at Centre Parcs

By your friendly neighbourhood Event Photography Team (a.k.a. Jo, John and Joe)

When Aire Logic asked us to photograph their team event at Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest it was Joe who got to do it as we were on a wedding. This was a full-throttle, action-packed, laugh-out-loud kind of day. Think quad bikes, archery, zip slides… and then imagine wrapping it all up with a Mad Hatter’s tea party straight out of Wonderland. Yeah. That kind of day.

Daytime: Less spreadsheets, more speed

First up: the daytime shenanigans. If there’s one thing I’ve learned as an event photographer, it’s that nothing bonds a team quite like launching arrows at targets and tearing through woodland trails on quad bikes. It’s also excellent for candid photos.

Centre Parcs made the perfect backdrop for all this chaos. Towering trees, beautiful sunshine and that crisp forest light that photographers dream about. Add in a bunch of people cheering each other on while trying not to fall off things, and boom – camera gold.

Evening: Down the rabbit hole we go

And just when you think things can’t get any better, someone pulls out a Mad Hatter’s theme. Honestly, hats off (pun absolutely intended) to the team that put this evening together were Serendipity Events. The venue was transformed into a full-blown Wonderland. Think oversized playing cards, mushrooms everywhere, tea cups big enough to sit in, and a suspiciously grinning Cheshire Cat lurking near the dance floor.

There were actors dressed as the whole gang Alice, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedledee and Tweedledum (who were somehow both hilarious and slightly unnerving), and of course, the Mad Hatter himself, causing mischief at every turn. As an event photographer, having characters like that to work with is a dream. They bring the energy, the expressions, the drama and yes, even the photobombs.

People let loose in a setting like that. You get big belly laughs, wild dancing, and slightly suspicious tea being served (which may or may not have been cocktails in disguise). And because they’d already spent the day flinging themselves off zip lines and bonding over archery fails, the vibe was pure joy. No awkward small talk just a team completely in their element.

Why I love photographing events like this

There’s something brilliant about seeing people outside of their usual roles, doing something a bit ridiculous and a lot of fun. And that’s really what being an event photographer is all about, capturing those in-between moments: the “you had to be there” kind of stuff. It’s fast, unpredictable, and always entertaining. Just how I like it.

So, shoutout to Aire Logic for throwing an absolute belter of a team day. You brought the energy, the chaos, and the curiously curiouser vibes. I just brought the camera.

If you’re planning a team event and want the real moments captured the grit, the glitter, and all the goofy grins – you know where we are.
