Roka Ceremony Photographer Manchester

We were booked via a recommendation to attend this amazing Roka Ceremony in Manchester.  Amen (the groom) booked us for his Roka Ceremony which is a pre-engagement ceremony so all the family could get together.  Gifs and such are exchanged so our natural and unobtrusive style of photography fit this perfectly.  We always try to do a few posed and family group photos too, as these are a lovely memento and the ones parents tend to print and frame.

The Traditional Meeting of the Family

The Roka Ceremony takes place on a convenient date and is backed by ‘shubh muhurat’.  The ceremony is attended by close family and friends and is normally an exchange of gifts.  After the ceremony, the couple is free to court as if engaged and a date for the wedding is then set.  This tradition is the perfect way to celebrate the coming together of two families.
